Media Language

1) How are the cover lines written to make the audience want to buy the magazine? Consider the interest/intrigue they create
They attract the audience by using different colours and capitalizing their words, Highlighting the word so that the reader may have more interest in gossip and may buy the magazine in this case.

2) What are the connotations of the Heat colour scheme on this particular front cover

White Pink and yellow, Attracting more customers to their magazine.

3) How are images used to create interest in the magazine? Find three reasons for your answer. (E.g. paparazzi images or aspects of mise-en-scene such props, costume, make-up, body position, facial expression etc.)

Unlike Tatler, They have images taken by paparazzi, The facial expression of Princess Meghan and Prince Harry made them look very sad. David Beckham's wife is on the page wearing her usual clothes, This stands out as it was probably taken by  paparazzi

4) What differences can you find between the use of design and typography between Tatler and Heat? List at least three differences and explain the effect on audiences.

Tatler uses their own images, Heat uses mostly paparazzi images, Tatler uses capital letters on all writing, Not standing out as much. While heat uses capital letters and highlights the gossip bit so more customers are attracted, Tatler only has one photo and only information about one thing as heat has multiple, heat tries to attract more customers if they aren't interested in the first one.

3) How are women represented on the cover of Heat? Think about both images and cover lines here
Women are presented as cheaters, liars, etc.

4) How do Heat and Tatler represent social class? What different social classes can you find in the features and celebrities on the cover? (E.g. middle/upper class / working class)
Heat and Tatler present higher upper class, as they are more known and they can create more gossip about them.
