 1) What do we know about the Arctic Monkeys audience? Think demographics, psychographics and how they got into the band.

Arctic Monkeys weren’t put together by an entertainment company, they were all friends from school, They formed in 2002. They have a high populated audience as they sold 350,000 albums in one week. The music type is English Indie Rock.

2) What audience pleasures are offered by the music video for I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor?

Older fans would enjoy a sense of nostalgia from the 1980s-style performance video.


3) Pick out three particular shots, scenes or moments in the video that would particularly appeal to Arctic Monkeys fans. Why did you choose those moments?

4) How did fans take a leading role in making Arctic Monkeys famous back in 2005?
They used early social media, Artic Monkey's music was shared on P2P sites, though this wasn't known by the band or promoted when they found out. It allowed their music to be heard by a much wider audience.


5) How are fans positioned to respond to the band? What does Arctic Monkeys want fans to think about their video?
They wanted the audience to think their video is nostalgic and aesthetic. Making the videos look like they are from 1980.

They first achieved sucess by releasing an album called "I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor"
Selling 350,000 albums in a week.

As this was song was a release to a online platform, Compared to most other music being stored on a dvd needing a record player to play.

The rise of Artic Monkey was not forced, They were high school friends which formed to become music partners, Compared to BLACKPINK were forced to be in a group.            

4) Who is Arctic Monkeys record label and how many copies did they sell of their debut album? Why did they choose an independent record label?
They sold 4 million, Do I look good on the dance floor,

5) Looking at the wider music industry, has the internet been a positive or negative development for record companies and artists? Why?
It has been a negative development for record companies as they went bankrupt such as blockbuster.
Now music is free on spotify and apple music compared to before. They used to be able to sell dvd's for expensive

  As you can see in the photo there is four photo, Lets examine this. Two photos are two shot because it is a medium shot but with 2 people instead of one person. One of them is a close up medium shot, The other is another medium shot. This is a medium  close up of a women speaking, It is over the shoulder and shows details of her face and focuses on the expression she makes. This is a medium closeup of these three people, It shows that the man on the right has the most focus whilst the man at the back has the least.
